European research project

BETTER DISTRIBUTE TOURIST FLOWS TO LESS DENSE AREAS AND MANAGE THEIR IMPACTS
1. Promote sustainable mobility.
2. Develop digital connectivity.
3. Promote immersion in local areas.
These areas offer a variety of tourism contexts in Italy, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Finland, and in France through the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. To this end, the project brings together 8 European public and private partners and will mobilise more than 90 regional stakeholders.
APESA and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region are, respectively, a partner and an associated partner in the project. The SYSTOUR project is consistent with the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region’s strategic directions set out in the regional roadmap for sustainable tourism, approved at the March 2023 plenary session. It will both showcase regional best practices in sustainable tourism to European partners and identify relevant practices from partner countries for the Nouvelle-Aquitaine area.
